Yvette’s Local Entrepreneur Scholarship Fund

The Dane Buy Local Foundation is proud to aid new high school graduates through Yvette’s Local Entrepreneur Fund. The Fund was established in 2012 as a way to invest in the next generations of individuals interested in business, marketing, and entrepreneurship. In particular, those who might not otherwise be supported. By investing in motivated young people, we hope to foster the development of our future’s local business visionaries.

Yvette’s Local Entrepreneur Fund was established at Madison Community Foundation in honor of Yvette Jones's years of service on the Dane Buy Local board of directors. Yvette is the founder of designCraft Advertising and strongly believes that entrepreneurship and small business aspirations should not be limited to young people with privilege, means, and existing connections.

The fund will be used to provide scholarships for graduating area high school seniors who are looking for future entrepreneurial opportunities and who will enroll in an education program at the post secondary level preparing them for independent business ownership. If you are a high school senior and plan to pursue a career in business, review the brochure. Applications are due the first day of March each year.
