Many already understand the importance of buying locally. It seems to be part of the DNA in our area! We support a better quality of life by purchasing from our neighborhood businesses and keeping our hard-earned money in the community. This includes retail stores and restaurants, but it's even more! It means using local accountants, banks and credit unions, realtors, insurance companies, media companies, transportation. . . the list goes on and on. Money spent at local, independent businesses continues to circulate at a much higher rate than when spent with national companies. These businesses are also an essential part of the fabric of a neighborhood - giving residents a sense of place and pride.

When we support local businesses it means more jobs, less impact on the environment, and better customer service. All resulting in a strong local economy.

Every dollar spent is a vote for the type of community you want to live in. While chains and online mega-retailers are part of the economic ecosystem, there are other choices. 
We promote positive campaigns with Dane Buy Local to remind our community of the importance of a thriving local independent businesses.
