Shawn Phetteplace, National Campaigns Director for the Main Street Alliance, will join Dane Buy Local’s Thrive & Shine breakfast to share insights on the Alliance’s expansion into Wisconsin and what it means for local, independent businesses. A light breakfast will be provided by Main Street Alliance.
Drawing on Main Street Alliance’s frontline work supporting small businesses through the COVID-19 pandemic, Shawn will highlight key lessons learned about resilience, mutual aid, and collective action—and how those lessons are shaping today’s efforts to strengthen local economies in uncertain times. He will also discuss why and how small business owners can effectively engage with candidates and elected officials to advocate for the policies that matter most to them, their workers, and their communities, offering practical strategies to ensure Main Street voices are heard and influential.
