Change from Where You Are – Change Management Strategies for Leaders at All Levels
Change is constant—but leading through it doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. This course equips leaders and emerging professionals with practical strategies to navigate, influence, and implement change effectively, even when they aren’t the ones driving the decisions. Participants will learn to clarify roles, translate big-picture goals into actionable steps, and apply collaborative approaches to strengthen outcomes. Through tools and techniques for influencing without formal authority, attendees will build confidence in guiding their teams and themselves through transitions with adaptability and impact.
Course Objective
- Develop strategies to leverage collaborative input in managing change
- Clarify roles and responsibilities during change
- Translate high-level goals into actionable tasks across organizational levels
- Identify strategies for influencing and implementing change you did not initiate
- Explore techniques for influencing change without formal authority
- Recognize the value of collaborative perspectives in the change process
- Develop adaptive responses to change

- Frontline Supervisors
- Leaders who influence or implement organizational changes but are not necessarily involved in strategic decision-making processes
- Middle Managers and Emerging Leaders seeking practical tools to guide their decision-making effectively through change while managing upward and downward expectations

- New or Less-Experienced Managers interested in building essential leadership competencies around change management in a practical, accessible manner.

Fee: WEDC and the Mainstreet Bounceback Program are covering the $99 cost of this webinar for operating, for-profit businesses under 500 employees. These businesses should register here:

Fee: We have a limited number of seats available for nonprofits, pre-venture (not yet started) businesses, and those participants from a company of over 500 employees thanks to the generosity of UW-Madison SBDC’s supporters. These organizations should use the link below to register.
Cancellation Policy: Due to program costs and space limitations for these programs, participants are expected to cancel their registration at least 24 hours ahead of the program. Cancellations that occur less than 24 hours prior to the start of the program will be considered no-shows and may be removed from future programming and/or charged a course fee.
