Camp Aldo Evenings 2026: Foraging in Nature – Aldo Leopold Nature Center

Join us for a relaxed golden-hour gathering featuring a guided foraging hike, where we’ll explore the prairie, observe seasonal plant life, and learn about their traditional uses, including edible and medicinal properties. We will also have local food vendors, refreshing beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), and plenty of space to roam the trails as the sun sets over the prairie.

What to Expect?
 Food trucks on site
 Cash bar with beer, wild-crafted drinks, and wine
 Live music on the grounds
 Optional on-site childcare for a fee
 Campfire and s’mores
 Sunset trail walks through prairie and forest
 A summer camp-inspired, foraging activity ($10 suggested donation).

In addition to foraging, enjoy lawn games, summer camp-inspired photo booth, and time to connect with friends—old and new—in a casual outdoor setting.

This event is FREE and open to the PUBLIC.

Adults and children are welcome, and no pre-registration is required unless you would like to take advantage of our childcare offerings.

Limited parking is available onsite. Biking and carpooling are encouraged! The Madison Metro Bus line G also has a stop near the Nature Center.
