The first big change this year is our new location at the Goodman Community Center’s Brassworks Building! This larger space means no more worrying about whether the sun will make an appearance because everyone will be inside (unless requested otherwise) and allows us to add 8 new vendors to the lineup!
Green Box will once again host a compost distribution during the Fair, which brought in over 200 attendees last year. We’re also excited to have the Trash Lab as part of our lineup again, which makes this the perfect family-friendly event!
Our exciting addition this year is a Repair Cafe hosted by Zero Waste Madison. A Repair Cafe is a free, local community gathering where volunteers with repair skills help people fix their broken household items like electronics, clothes, furniture, and bikes. This addition promotes skill-sharing, reducing waste, and building community by fighting the throwaway culture. Workshops and demonstrations related to zero waste and repair will be held in an adjacent classroom.
