Product/Service

Residential and commercial painting for custom new construction and renovations. Pressure washing, safe paint stripping; mildew and wallpaper removal.  Carpentry, drywall and plaster repairs; staining and varnishing; deck refinishing and weatherization. for homes, restaurants, schools and health care facilities

Eco-Painting minimizes the use of plastics and other non-biodegradable products.  Auro Natural Paints, for instance, are so safe that they can be dried and put in your compost bin. We clean out our containers and recycle them when possible.

Buying Local

From beginning to end, our goal is to be conscious of the environmental impact of our work.  Whenever possible, we buy from local suppliers and try to provide options to customers.  We bought (locally!) a biodiesel van, use canvas drop cloths instead of plastic, and use plant-based paints - all options that have no negative effects on performance and quality.  It's better for our customers, for us who work around paint every day, and the environment as a whole.  This principle could be likened to buying organics from your local coop or farmer as opposed to buying from a big box store.

History

Eco-Painting started in Madison in 2006.  Our goal was-and still is-to change the way painting companies do business. We have invested countless hours researching the products we use. Most standard paints, for example, contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs) which can lead to eye, nose, and throat irritations, headaches, dizziness or memory impairment.  Some are known or suspected to cause cancer.

Our paints and stains, on the other hand, are manufactured with raw materials that are both renewable and sustainable. Our approach is to support companies committed to creating healthier living environments both inside and outside our homes.
