bad dog frida is a dog and cat specialty store offering "Really Cool Things for Good Dogs and Their People".  We have fun and unique dog toys, beds, travel gear, collars and leashes along with a variety of healthy dog and cat treats and food.  For the people that love dogs and cats we have  whimsical t-shirts, hats, art, greeting cards and informative books.  Our store also offers monthly events including educational workshops and a fun social event - Coffee Hound Hour.

Locally owned businesses strengthen community by supporting local economy. Buying local is a personal shopping experience.  We have the opportunity to get to know our human and canine customers.  We learn their
personalities, likes and experiences and therefore can help direct their shopping needs.

History

bad dog frida opened on Atwood Avenue on July 21, 2006 and is a woman owned business. Carmen Alcalde and Sue Hunter developed the idea based on their appreciation for dogs and cats. Initially bad dog frida opened as an on-line business but wanted the experience of being more connected to their customers. Today they maintain both the on-line business and a store-front.
